Robin’s unique
ability to work with teams and help improve
organizational productivity is the direct result of a
truly eclectic background including her degree in Human
Development and Family Studies from Cornell University
(1978), several years experience in elementary education
in Cincinnati, training and teambuilding experiences
across a myriad of industries and extensive volunteerism
experiences.
Robin’s focus for
the past decade has been on teambuilding, adult
education and training, including work with large public
and non profit organizations. She guided field service
for the 100,000 members of National Council of Jewish
Women, which required special curriculum development and
frequent travel and presentations and seminars across
the country. In the early 1990’s Robin’s adult education
efforts evolved towards diversity training and
leadership development of non profit groups like Planned
Parenthood, schools and universities like the University
of Washington, Western Washington University, Seattle
Public Schools, Mercer Island Schools, and for large
government organizations like Washington State DSHS and
the Seattle Police Department.
Robin’s recent work
has focused on several government agencies like the
Seattle Police Department, where she made a series of
significant contributions over the past 6 years. Robin
created and guided a Community Police Academy; created,
staffed and developed curriculum for a Community
Policing Action Council and trained and coached in-house
instructors involved in providing training to community
members. Robin also coordinated and delivered all
cultural awareness training at the Seattle Police
Department’s Basic Law Enforcement Academy.
Robin is active in
her community and brings her leadership and training
expertise to many non profit Boards and organizations.
Robin has actively served on over two dozen local and
national non profit Boards over the past decade.
Robin’s volunteer work has been recognized with awards
such as Cornell University’s “Outstanding Volunteerism
Award”, 1998, being named a Wexner Heritage Foundation
Scholar in 1997, and receiving the Spitzer Young
Leadership Award in Recognition and Appreciation of
Outstanding Service from the Jewish Federation of
Greater Seattle in 1994.
